At the forefront of Accord Engineering’s cutting capabilities is an Amada LCG 4020 fibre laser with a 4m x 2m bed capable of cutting up to 20mm mild steel, 16mm aluminium and 18mm stainless steel. With accuracy of a fraction of a millimetre we are able to cut complex shapes for subsequent folding, welding and coating giving excellent replicability of components.
The laser is networked from the workshop into the design office so that drawings can be prepared in the office and sent for immediate cutting to the laser. This makes the cutting process nimble and dynamic enabling rapid creation of blanks for subsequent fabrication.
In addition to the laser is a 4m guillotine suited to cutting flat sheet for subsequent folding. It allows flexibility in that when the laser is busy we are still able to cut blanks increasing the efficiency of the workshop team and reducing lead times for our customers.
When it comes to three dimensional extrusions we have two Emmegi saws (TS2550 mitre saw and S550 automatic saw) both of which are CNC controlled to give highly accurate, rapid cutting of components up to 350mm in girth.
